1. Who We Are

Venio ("we", "us") operates the Venio event platform, providing wedding seating, QR codes, guest management, and photo gallery tools. Questions about this policy can be directed to support@venio.site.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information — your email address used to log in via magic link.
• Event data — event name, date, and settings you configure.
• Guest data — names, dietary requirements, RSVP responses, and seating assignments that you upload on behalf of your guests.
• Photos and media — images and videos uploaded by you or your guests during the event.
• Usage data — page visits, feature interactions, and error logs used to improve the platform.
• Payment data — billing is handled by Stripe. We do not store full card details on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the Service.
• Send you authentication magic links and transactional emails.
• Process payments and issue receipts.
• Display your seating plan and guest data to authorised collaborators.
• Investigate and resolve support requests.
• Improve platform reliability and features.

We do not sell your personal data or your guests' data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

4. Data Retention

Account and event data — your account and event records are retained for as long as your account is active. You can log back in at any time to access your data. We do not automatically delete accounts or event records after a fixed period.

Photos and media — guest-uploaded photos and videos are automatically deleted three (3) months after your event date. We recommend downloading any media you wish to keep before that window closes. You will not receive a reminder email prior to deletion.

Deletion on request — you may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@venio.site. Requests are processed within 30 days.

5. Data Sharing

We share data only with the following categories of sub-processors:

• Supabase — database and authentication hosting.
• Cloudflare — content delivery, workers, and object storage.
• Stripe — payment processing.

Each sub-processor is bound by appropriate data processing agreements. We do not share data with any other third parties except where required by law.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), row-level security on the database, and access controls that restrict data to the event owner and approved collaborators. No transmission over the internet is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but take reasonable precautions to protect your information.

7. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication sessions. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. If you block cookies the authentication flow will not work correctly.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Export your data in a portable format.

9. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Guest lists may contain the names of minors as attendees; such data is provided by the event organiser and is subject to their responsibility under applicable law.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
